I started this site in 2011 after spending hundreds of hours on Vancouver film sets and talking to many of my friends in the film and television industry. I realized there was a real lack of financial literacy among many of the performers I knew.

Because of the nature of our work, our income is very unreliable. We may book a high paying gig one month, and the next get almost no work at all.

It is for this reason, that we as actors need to be more educated about investing and financial planning than the average worker who has a steady job and a set income every month.
